A very good movie with both comedy and sentiment. Vijayakumar is a cool drink factory owner and has 2 sons Raghuvaran , Rajiv and one daughter. Raghuvaran is married to Banupriya and have a playful child. Rajiv is thought to be the good for nothing son of the house. Rajiv meets a girl who is the daughter of a cook Delhi Ganesh. He convinces his sister-in-law to help his marriage and talk to Delhi Ganesh. Delhi Ganesh comes to Vijayakumar's house and is humiliated by him. But Banupriya softens Delhi Ganesh to accept the marriage.
Rajiv sees his brother meeting another girl Sukanya, who happens to be his college mate and is in her last days due to terminal illness. When Raghuvaran is out of station, Sukanya becomes terribly ill and Rajiv carries her to the hospital. This is seen by Vijayakumar and is misunderstood by him. Everyone in the family humiliate Rajiv. During his sister's marriage Rajiv learns that his brother had died in a train accident. He is not able to tell his family about this since the marriage would be stopped.
